"As a professional athlete, health is a primary focus, that's why I insulated our house with Woolbloc, the healthy option when we built our house, I wanted to make it healthy, efficient and economic - Woolbloc was by the far the best option I found.

Woolbloc insulation - 30 million sheep can't be wrong, I am yet to see a pink sheep made out of harmful chemicals and fibreglass. My sport puts me amongst the harshest conditions nature creates, when I get home, I want to take a break from the elements and recover ... Woolbloc offers coolness in summer and warm in Winter, no other home insulation does that."

"This is the second substantial home my wife and I have built using woolbloc products as our insulation, their outstanding performance in both summer and winter made woolbloc our preferred choice.

It was interesting to note the reaction of our builders when the team from woolbloc did our installation, almost every contractor on site noted that there was no horrible fibres floating around the room to irritate them.

We think that Lindsay and his team have a great product...try it I bet you'll agree!"

"We are in the process of putting our ceiling batts in, having just finished installing all the wall insulation. We just love working with the wool and have had so many comments from people visiting the site about it. It’s so nice to go home without glass in your skin and eyes and know that you are putting something safe and natural into the house. Many people don’t even know the option of wool exists, so we are promoting your product far and wide!

Photo attached of my wee terrier Chelsea, who thinks the wool is a great bed (you wouldn’t let her sleep on fibreglass!) I might cover one for her to use as a bed once we are finished."

All the best, Debra

This building was planned with energy conservation in mind and the materials chosen were those in harmony with nature and environmental concerns. For the whole building natural products were used where possible – wood, natural oil for staining the wood and all natural wool insulation.

Woolbloc was chosen because of the proven quality advantages over other insulations and the integrity and product performance of a natural fibre product in keeping with the natural design of Ichijo Hall. Woolbloc had been tested in Japan for thermal and acoustic properties as well as gas absorption to establish the expected performances. Tests will be conducted on the purity of the air, checking for formaldehyde levels and VOC levels, using high tech equipment. It will be monitored in experimental roles featuring structural and durability performance, amenities, energy consumption, thermal and acoustic performance.

Woolbloc will feature prominently in these tests and will have a significance to the international building industry because the auditorium itself, although primarily used for academic and social functions, will be monitored for scientific and research purposes for the next 100 years.

"Having wintered over in Fairfield House for many years I really felt the difference last winter after we had laid Woolbloc. The heat retained over night was striking as each morning I walked from the old east wing into the rest of the house. The task of laying the woolbloc was such a treat as the wool is soft and safe to handle, it felt like we were wrapping up the old lady in a thick woolen blanket. These qualities of natural fibre and safe and healthy installation is what convinced us to use Woolbloc for our insulation."
